The aim was to secure freedom of privacy through the division of space while creating a sense of intimacy with nature. Each form gives the user the freedom to change or alter the product and its use. 

Drawing analogies from the biomorphic forms and patterns in nature, VENATION PATTERNS in leaves was chosen as the form inspiration. Design that reconnects us with nature – biophilic design – forms the essence of the range, pulling our memories of natural environments to the surface to recreate the calming, invigorating euphoria we feel when in nature.

Night Watch (a rich teal), PPG Color of the Year 2019 was chosen as the color scheme, allowing homeowners to emulate the feeling of lush greenery and the healing power of nature in their spaces. Plant-Based Polyurethane Rigid Foam made from hemp, kelp and bamboo was the base material. Composed of all-natural components, the material is resilient to moisture and heat, and manages and minimizes noise.

ACCORDION SCREEN: Development of a modular fanfold room divider. Rotatable pivot points allow the panels to fold and thus customize the form of the product, while the shelves in between remain stationery. 

CASTOR SCREEN: Development of a space divider on castors with a feature that enables customization. The screen can be expanded with an easy push & pull attribute, allowing the user to modify area and level of privacy as well as floor space utilization.

PARTIAL SCREEN: Development of a floor-to-ceiling fixture providing partial privacy to the user. The design features an interactive element allowing a thirty-degree rotation of each panel along the fixed vertical axis. The playful element adds to the customization of the level of privacy as well.
